Hey Charles,

This is a good sound bite that is important to for this piece. It shows the audience how much these events have affected your life. It contains all the information and emotion that can drive the rest of the piece. We hear the situation on a human level and are brought into your world. This could be the core of your project. The point that you build off. Here you are opening the door to you. From this point I feel we should see more of your life. I know you brought your camera when you went to visit your boyfriend. I think that footage is important, the dialog between the two of you, because it is something that would drastically effect both of your lives. I'm looking forward to seeing more. And Keep that door open!

I see you movie being told in two parts or movements. The first is your struggle with Norris. This would be all the footage of you calling Norris, going to get tested, that great shot of you sorting through your medical records and the climax would be this conversation with Steve.

The second part would be your activism. Now that you have this information and have had this experience this is what you are going to do about it. This would be your Art Bar footage and the interview with the doctor, etc.

I really think that adding the activism to the piece 1) tells us more about who you are and 2) helps the piece live outside of you and UWM. I think it would bring a weight and a tone to the piece that is needed. Again, it would make the project and your experience bigger than yourself. Which, is what you have been saying you want to do, to help people from your experience.
